Hathras Road Accident: 15 Injured as School Bus Collides Head-On with Container Truck on Aligarh-Agra Highway
In a fatal road mishap in the Hathras district of Uttar Pradesh, a total of 15 people were injured when a school bus rammed into a container truck head-on on the Aligarh-Agra Highway in the morning of October 12, 2026.
The incident took place close to a petrol pump in Samamai village located in the Sasni region. It is stated that the school bus had been traveling from Aligarh to Hathras carrying school staff members and some students when it crashed into the container truck at about 8 am.
Local Residents Help Rescue Trapped Passengers
The people from around the place immediately hurried to the spot of the accident and assisted in the evacuation of the passengers trapped in the damaged bus via the emergency exit door. The police and other rescue personnel came to the spot soon enough, and the injured people were then transported in ambulances to the CHC at Sasni for treatment.
As per reports, the bus driver and conductor both suffered serious injuries in the accident. Six people, who were injured, along with the bus driver and conductor, were referred to further treatment in Aligarh after getting initial treatment.
Highway Traffic Disrupted After Collision
The crash created traffic problems on the Aligarh-Agra Highway, with vehicles lining up on either side of the damaged portion. Police and others made arrangements to take away the damaged vehicles through the use of heavy machinery, thereby restoring traffic movement.
The issue is back in the spotlight once again with respect to the safety of roads for busy highways with the presence of heavy vehicles and passenger transport on the same roads.
