Sony Announces FX2 Cinema Camera for Independent Filmmakers

Sony has brought out the FX2, an exciting product from its Cinema Line that lets independent video creators and filmmakers record professional-grade footage in a compact camera. Astonishing image quality is achieved thanks to the sensor’s high 33-megapixel resolution and over 15 stops of dynamic range when S-Log3 is used. Dual base ISO option, you can ensure great photographs no matter the surroundings, from full sunlight to low light.

This camera does very well in slow motion, able to record 120 frames per second at Full HD resolution. The advanced features are the Cine EI mode, sixteen LUTS created by users, and support for specific anamorphic lenses with de-squeeze functionality.
Starting at $2,699.99 for the camera body, you can get a bundle including the XLR handle, priced at $3,099.99. Early August will see the FX2 ship through Sony and its authorized partners in North America.
