Mamta Banerjee State Assembly Contenders Take A Dig At Her
Mamata Banerjee is eyeing the state assembly elections with bypoll. She has chosen her traditional constituency, Bhabanipur. But the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) is not going to sit quiet while this is happening. As per the candidate contesting from the CPI-M party, Bhabanipur Srijeeb Biswas, Bhabanipur remains a ‘deprived constituency’.
It is definitely a slap on the face of Ms. Banerjee. This time, we can see a party between three parties, for which Mr. Biswas calls it a triangular fight. Apart from him and ‘didi’, the one other locking horns will be BJP nominee Priyanka Tiberwal.
Mr. Biswas has also brought it Nandigram in the equation saying Ms. Banerjee neglected it badly. ‘No wonder she lost the seat to BJP’s Suvendu Adhikari in the assembly elections.’ Taking a dig at her, he said that people can make her lose again and she shouldn’t be overconfident of her win.

Confidently, Biswas has elaborated on her slips in Bhandipur, “As a representative of the people, I have seen they have not got much from her being the MLA. If you see the roads here [Bhabanipur], if it rains, the roads get dilapidated. When Mamata has been MLA for 10 years, has a lot of development taken place? It is not like that“
BJP was mocked at being called as unstable as the ‘sensex of India’. He said that you can’t trust leadership to such a party that can’t hold onto its MLAs. As many as seven BJP MLAs have jumped ship and joined Trinamool Congress (TMC) over the last one month. Biswas said that more people could leave the party within minutes.
Congress is nowhere to be seen in the picture. Apparently, Banerjee’s recently growing appreciation of the Gandhi family in public has put the seniority in a fix of whether they should rub shoulders with this might lioness after all, or just stand on the sidelines and protect whatever little power they have left in the various constituencies in India.
