Apple products will no longer be looking for a market in Russia after the start of the invasion process of Ukraine last week.
The company made an official statement in this regard on Wednesday post its earlier decision to impose limitations for Apple Pay in Russia in line with other sanctions by the United States. Not only this but the Apple devices also took down some of the applications made or created by Russian companies.
The company said that we are deeply concerned about the Russian invasion of Ukraine and will continue to stand with all the people who are suffering as a result of the violence.
We are supporting humanitarian efforts, providing aid for the unfolding refugee crisis, and doing all we can to support our teams in the region.”
The Russian stores of Apple available in the online mediums are accessible but the products are shown as unavailable. Not only this but the top US company also disabled both traffic and live incidents in Apple Maps in Ukrainian territory due to security reasons.
The CEO of Apple Tim Cook received a letter from the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine to halt the Apple products and services for the Russian user. With Apple blocking its services, the list has further lengthened the organizations that blocked the companies. It joined companies like Nike, FIFA, Visa, Mastercard, Netflix, Twitter and YouTube who completely stopped its services.
