List of Indian players with a pavilion or stand in the stadium

Cricket is more than just a sport in India – it’s an emotion. And when someone dedicates their entire heart and life to the game, the country finds ways to recognise them. One of the greatest gestures of recognition is when a stadium names a pavilion or a stand in their honour.
Difference Between a Pavilion and a Stand?
Stand – An area where fans sit and cheer. Generally there are many stands in a stadium on different sides – such as the east stand, and the west stand – and so on. To have a stand named in tribute of a cricketer is significant – as it is something that thousands of fans throughout the cricketing years can see.
Pavilion – This is the main stadium building, where the players, coaches and match officials use the various facilities. It contains all the changing rooms for the players, where they can be viewed on the balcony, lounges etc. There is more significance in having a pavilion named in honour of a player, as it means this pavilion is very much part of the cricketer’s world.

Which one is more prestigious?
The pavilion is usually considered more important because it is where the players spend their time before and after the match.
