12th Board Exam Result 2025: 18 Haryana Schools Post Complete Failure

18 schools in Haryana have no students who passed the Class 12 board exams which is a concern for the state’s education system. Although the Haryana Board of School Education (HBSE) reported that overall 9,216 students cleared Class 12, with an 85.66% pass rate, this number still shows warning signs about students dropping out.

The HBSE has published a list of 100 poor-performing schools, both government and private which did not reach a 35% pass rate. A copy of this list has been sent to the Directorate of Education for them to check and take action right away. Out of 13 students in one school, not one was able to pass, according to HBSE Chairman Dr. Pawan Kumar. He pointed out that most zero-result schools had only 1-2 students sit for the exam, all of whom did not clear it.
The board has decided to introduce disciplinary actions for teachers at the institutions showing poor results. Moreover, a full report about the situation has been sent to the Ministry of Education.
Dr. Kumar wants urgent intervention in the following aspects:
- Mandatory teacher training programs
- Enhanced student engagement initiatives
- Talking with parents to understand the main issues at school
It is important to figure out the main reason for the bad results. Dr. Kumar highlighted that teachers should focus on improving their teaching practices and also remember to reach out to their students and their needs. At the same time, the board released the Class 10 results on May 17 and 92.49% of students passed the exam. Out of the total 271,499 candidates who took the exams, only 251,110 passed.
