Bihar Launches ‘Vidya Saathi’ 24×7 Support Portal for JEE & NEET Aspirants

There is an educational program called “Bihar Vidya Saathi” which is a 24×7 online digital learning portal available in Bihar that provides one-to-one educational support free of cost. This program has been introduced by the Chief Minister of Bihar, Samrat Choudhary. It is being provided at 700 Saraswati Vidya Niketan Model schools in 38 districts of Bihar which can cater to more than three lakhs of students.

The project targets students of Class 9 to 12. While students of Class 9 and 10 will receive educational assistance in all the subjects, science stream students in Class 11 and 12 will be offered educational assistance that helps thejm prepare for board exams as well as competitive examinations like JEE and NEET.

How Does 24 x 7 Support Work?

The greatest feature of Vidya Saathi is its round the clock individual interaction with teachers. Students have the option of interacting individually with the teachers as per their needs.

According to the state, around 75,000 teachers will provide educational assistance to the students through the programme. It will allow students to get help on difficult topics without having to wait for their next class or doubt clarification classes.

The idea is particularly useful for students appearing for difficult exams since a small unclarified concept in Physics, Chemistry or Mathematics can affect their understanding of other chapters.

Students in Classes 9 and 10 can access academic support across subjects, while science-stream students in Classes 11 and 12 can additionally use resources for Bihar Board, JEE and NEET preparation.

The government has indicated that the system will subsequently be expanded to more schools across the state.
