Travel Vlogger Among Six Arrested in Pakistan Spy Network

It was confirmed by officials yesterday that Jyoti Malhotra, a YouTuber from Haryana and some others, have been arrested for sharing confidential information with Pakistani intelligence officers. Authorities said that Malhotra, who runs YouTuber channel “Travel with Jo,” visited Pakistan in 2023 and formed a bond with Danish, the man who was just deported from India. The investigation discovered that there were teams involved in Punjab as well as Haryana. Sources show that Malhotra used encrypted messages to communicate with others and supplied intelligence about sensitive places in India.

Other arrested individuals include:
- Guzala, a 32-year-old woman from Malerkotla, was given money and detailed instructions through payment applications.
- Yameen Mohd was charged for aiding in visa matters and procuring money via the banks
- Devinder Singh Dhillon, recruited during his visit to Pakistan for a pilgrimage.
- Arman, from the Nuh region, who dealt in Indian SIM cards and managed money transfers
According to officials, the scammers fooled vulnerable people using emotional tactics, offering them money and tempting them with the idea of marriage. It is reported that all the accused have confessed and charges are being brought against them under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Official Secrets Act. Authorities are checking if these activities are connected to larger spying efforts.
