Neeraj Chopra is the name to reckon with in India. The Olympic gold medalist has quickly become a favourite and one of the biggest reasons for this is his witty replies and honesty. Considering the growing popularity of the athlete, brands are also not far behind in making him their new face.
Cred has become one of the platforms to make him its face as it released its new advertisement on Sunday leaving everyone in shock. The shock is not because of the brand taking an athlete as their face but because of the amazon job that Neeeraj did as he acted in different roles in the video.
His acting surely has impressed twitteratis, who were quick to compare him to Bollywood actors. Recently in news for his portrayal of a Kargil martyr, Siddhart Malhotra also took to twitter to credit Chopra for his perfoncase saying that people are talking about the biopic that is being made on you but you went on to debut in the industry yourself.
Even former cricketer Virendra Shewag took to the social media platform and appreciated the athlete in his style.

This platform is famous for making some of the known faces do odd jobs for example, cricket legend Rahul Dravid was featured in the ad before Chopra. The ad was called “Indiranagar ka gunda”. They even turned Jackie Shroff into a Zumba instructor but with Chopra, the only difference is that he has been casted in different avatars in the ad.

The ad was directed by Ayappa KM for Cred and he revealed that they were little worried about casting Neeraj for the ad as they felt that he might be a little shy but when they met and talked, he was enthusiastic about the whole plan.
Ayappa said, “Sometimes he would just break down in the middle of a line laughing. He just wanted to have fun, he was chilling and having a great time.” He also added that Neeraj was the absolute opposite of Dravid as he laughs a lot.
The video garnered a lot of attention on social media resulting in millions of views within 24 hours. According to Ayyapa, the reason why the ad did so well and why Chopra was highlighted in the ad is because the 23-year-old loves cinema and that loosened him up for the creative side
