Why Orlando Bloom Left Pirates Of The Caribbean?

“Pirates of the Caribbean” may have had Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow as the main hero, but Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley) and Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) were the heart and soul of the series.
Elizabeth and Will are perfect star-crossed lovers. Their love story provided some much-needed resonance to the first three films in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” series.
Their individual storylines were also rather good. So it’s understandable that when their story seemed to come to a close in “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End,” a few fans, including the writer, were concerned.

Fans Will Miss Will Turner & Elizabeth Swan
By the end of “At World’s End,” Will has pledged his life to the Flying Dutchman, a ship that eventually converts its crew into integrated fish humans.
And Elizabeth, the former Pirate Queen, retires to the beach presumably to await Will’s return in ten years. It’s a great (though bittersweet) finish to their story, one that leaves a lot to the imagination and doesn’t require those characters to return.
But Will and Elizabeth were the characters who made the series worthwhile to watch. When it comes to “Pirates of the Caribbean,” fans won’t be able to imagine a movie without them.
As it turned out, that was the future that fans of “Pirates” had to face forward to the day that rumors of a fourth film arose in 2010, at least.
The 4th Pirates Franchise
“On Stranger Tides,” the fourth installment in the “Pirates” franchise, was a complete deviation from the first three films.
Captain Jack was there and accounted for, and would even be accompanied by Geoffrey Rush’s Captain Barbosa, but everything else felt extremely different.

There were Penelope Cruz’s character & some mermaids but each clumsy attempt to introduce a new romance only served as a bitter reminder that Will and Elizabeth had disappeared.
Why Did Orlando Bloom Say Goodbye to Pirates franchise?
Although it may have felt like a disappointment to some “Pirates” fans, their absence was not due to any wrong intentions. Bloom, himself chose to opt out from the ‘Pirates’ franchise.
In 2010, the actor talked with MTV News & said,
“I think Will is sort of swimming around with the fish at the bottom of the ocean. I had a great time making those movies.
I just really wanted to do different things, but I think it’s going to be great. Whatever Johnny does, I think it’s fantastic.”
A Little Hope of Bloom’s Return
Despite all these facts there is still some hope of Bloom’s returning into ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ movies, because of his friendship with Johnny Depp.
Fans & some other movie critics are saying that he shouldn’t leave the project like this when everything is going so well.
Well, never say never. We may wait for Bloom to change his mind or the producers may convince him to be back on the ship.
