Meta’s New ‘Edits’ App Makes Video Creation Easier for Everyone

Meta just recently launched an all-new app, Edits, primarily dedicated to mobile-centric video creators in order to target a different audience outside Instagram and Facebook, as it’s focused on content created for just about every platform such as YouTube, TikTok, or something else.
The Useful App for All Creators:
Simple, smart, versatile video editing one-stop-shop. Created in close collaboration with influencers and everyday creates, it focuses on the on-hand needs that make capturing video on phones meaningful.
Here, you can shoot videos longer than 10 minutes, finely slice clips, put cool effects like green screen and transitions, and even get real-time insights-like how many people skip your video. It means you can tweak your content to fare better across platforms.
No Jumps Between Applications:
Such a huge hassle for creators could be the switching from one app to another for shooting purposes, then for editing, and finally for publishing. Edits addresses this very problem. You shoot, edit, and export all at one place and if you don’t want a watermark, you can skip it and post wherever you like.
This app is all about minimizing the time and effort editing videos would take, and the editing of Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts will all be done via this app.
Despite all the features that the app already has, Meta will soon be working on even more enhancements. They are working on:
- Keyframes to give you more control over how your video moves and transitions.
- AI-powered tools to instantly enrich the look and feel of your videos.
- Collaboration features to have teams or friends work together on drafts.
- More customization such as stylish fonts, text animations, cool transitions, filters, and free music.
Meta has also stated that user feedback will also determine future updates to so if something is requested by a creator, that thing has a good chance of being added.
