US Intents To Learn From Indian Army At 10,000 Feet Height
The unilateral construction of military infrastructure by the Chinese military in Ladakh and Galwan region under India’s Western Theater Command is eye-opening and alarming, US Army Pacific Commanding General Charles Flynn said.
While interacting with a selected group of journalists, a senior US Army officer also spoke on the situation in Ladakh.

While he was asked about Chinese construction along the Line of Control (LAC) and construction of villages in Bhutan, the official said he believes the level of activity is eye-opening.
Along with this, this top US Army official also said on Wednesday that 9,000 Indian and US military personnel will train together at 10,000 feet this year to increase maneuverability for high-altitude warfare.
Instead of focusing only on naval interoperability for a stronger operational bond between the two armies in the Indo-Pacific region, he spoke of China’s build-up near Ladakh and strengthening its military infrastructure by Beijing.
The senior US official said that he is really excited about this year’s joint military exercise which is being conducted at an altitude of 9,000-10,000 feet. Last year this exercise was conducted in Alaska.
This type of training and practice increases our connectedness, increases our interactivity, increases the interactivity of our alliances.
According to the US, the talks going on are helpful but behavior matters here as well. They feel that what the Chinese are saying is one thing, but the way they are doing construction work and behaving shows a difference in their words and actions. Obviously, there has been tension and we have to address that.
America’s Interest & Intentions
Why is America saying this after all? Is he challenging China by playing friendship with India on the issue of border dispute or does he have some selfish interest?
