UP Gets Zero Emission Master International Airport From Centre

UP -With five international airports to boast about CM Yogi Adityanath has made UP the crowning glory of India. Today, the PM laid the foundation stone for the promising state-of-the-art zero-emission promise Noida International airport. Better known as the Jewar Airport, the Rs. 5730 crore airport is being called Asia’s biggest facility to be made under Narendra Modi’s leadership.
The construction for this airport has already begun and will be ready for operations in the year 2024. Once operational, Uttar Pradesh will have five international airports to boast about. Currently, UP has eight operational airports, with 13 more to come including airstrips. The operational airports handling commercial flights in Uttar Pradesh are Lucknow, Varanasi, Kushinagar, Gorakhpur, Agra, Kanpur, Prayagraj, and Hindon (Ghaziabad).
The whole plan comes under PM Modi’s ambitious Gati Shakti National Master Plan that has seen maximum improvisations in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Undeniably, Mr. Nath has some great likings with Modi to share.
Before the opposition could take a dig on the Centre, Meanwhile, the Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government has allocated Rs 3301.16 crore for the rehabilitation of people displaced due to the ongoing construction of the Noida International Airport.

As many as 7,224 affected families were given Rs 403.24 core for their rehabilitation due to displacement due to the construction of the airport, the government said.
The beneficiaries include 2,368 from Rohi, 2,659 from Dayanatpur, 936 from Kishorpur, 613 from Ranhera, 573 from Parohi, and 75 from Banwariwas. In the Jewar Bangar area, 3003 displaced families have been allotted land at the rate of Rs 25,000 per square meter.
The mega airport is going to be a logistics gateway, especially in northern India. People from all over North India will be able to export their products to international markets through the airport. Mr. Yogi Adityanath is a strong contender in the forthcoming elections, who also made a public appearance when presented BJP’s political resolution at a time when all ministers decided to attend a virtual session.
