Bhool Chuk Maaf Amid India-Pak Tensions, OTT Premiere Date Announced

Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi‘s brand new film Bhool Chuk Maaf was scheduled to hit theaters on May 9 but due to national circumstances, the filmmakers had to change the plans. Now, the film will be released directly on Prime Video on May 16 instead of in theaters.
The decision was made just a day after India executed strategic air strikes directed at terrorist targets along the Pakistan border, as part of the Indian Armed Forces ‘Operation Sindoor‘. Given the potent climate and security situation across the country, as such, the filmmakers preferred to release the film digitally.
Storyline
Bhool Chuk Maaf, directed by Karan Sharma, tells the quirky story of Ranjan, a small-town romantic from Banaras who lands a government job with the aspirations of marrying his love, Titli. However, Ranjan forgoes his sacred vows made to Lord Shiva and cannot get a safe passage until he redeems himself.
With a comic touch and a mix of heartwarming and mythological elements, the film is sure to be a wholesome watch for families.
Produced by Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films, with music by Tanishk Bagchi, lyrics by Irshad Kamil,
and sung by Tanishk and Madhubanti Bagchi.
Digital Release
Bhool Chuk Maaf will stream digitally on Amazon Prime Video starting May 16
The shift to digital platform film comes just after the country remains on high alert post-Operation Sindoor, where our forces struck multiple terrorist hideouts, including places in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir such as Muridke, Bahawalpur, Kotli, and Muzaffarabad, all associated with Jaish-e-Mohammed.
