Tata Communications, Microsoft Partner To Transform Microsoft Teams
Tata Communications in India, has announced a partnership with the global tech giant Microsoft.
This collaboration is set to bring major changes to the way enterprises in India use Microsoft Teams, a popular communication and collaboration tool.
The focus of this partnership is to make Teams more flexible and efficient for businesses in India.
The key feature of this new initiative is the use of Tata Communications‘ GlobalRapide platform. This platform will allow businesses in India, as well as multinational companies operating in the country, to make high-quality PSTN voice calls using Microsoft Teams.
These calls can be made from any device, anywhere in the world, thanks to the integration with Microsoft’s Operator Connect platform.
This partnership is not just about making calls. It also aims to simplify how businesses manage Microsoft Teams. The service will include everything from setting up Teams, to managing devices and session border controllers (SBCs).
This means businesses can have better security, ease of use, and ensure they follow local rules and regulations, all without the need for extra hardware.
Sriram Sampath, who is the Vice President of Unified Communications & Collaboration at Tata Communications, highlighted the importance of this collaboration. He mentioned that it will help businesses improve their productivity and efficiency while complying with local laws.
From Microsoft’s side, Shruti Bhatia, the Country Head of Modern Work and Surface for India and South Asia, expressed her enthusiasm about the partnership.
She emphasized that this collaboration is part of Microsoft’s commitment to helping businesses in India grow and operate more efficiently and securely in a world where business connections are increasingly global.
The partnership between Tata Communications and Microsoft is a significant step for enterprises in India. The collaboration aims to enhance the capabilities of Microsoft Teams, making it more suitable for the evolving needs of businesses in today’s interconnected world.
