Actor Karan Patel calls Kangana a comedian, her sister fights back calling him burden on earth
Hindi movie actor Kangana Ranaut is often subjected to tough reactions on social media mostly due to her outspoken nature. The latest one to be a part of the list is Karan Patel, who is more popularly known for his role in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein.
Patel mocked Ranaut on his social media platform for one of her recent tweets where she was talking about easy availability of Oxygen in India. Ranaut had tweeted earlier about forcefully taking oxygen from the environment. Her statements came as India battles the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic.
The actor had taken screenshots of the comments made by Ranaut and shared on his instagram account saying, “This woman is the most hilarious stand up comedian this country ever produced.”
Before Twitter had suspended Ranaut’s account, she had tweeted about the second wave of the pandemic in India. She had said that everyone is building abundant oxygen plants while also making lots of oxygen cylinders available. She then went onto to question ‘how are we compensating for all the oxygen that we are forcefully drawing from the environment? It seems we learnt nothing from our mistakes and catastrophes they cause #Planttrees.’
In another she wrote that other than making more oxygen available for people, the government should also focus on giving more oxygen to nature. These tweets brought hilarious reactions on twitter and some even went to the extent of saying that she should get her science textbooks.
On Tuesday, social media giant Twitter had suspended Kangana’s account after she had spoken the pandemic situation in India along with sharing some controversial thoughts on West Bengal elections. Following the suspension, Ranaut said that she had a lot of other platforms to raise her voice.
“Twitter has only proved my point they are Americans and by birth a white person feels entitled to enslave a brown person, they want to tell you what to think, speak or do,” she asserted.
To this, another television actor Kavita Kaushik reacted saying that she doesn’t understand what century Ranaut is living in as in movies, white people appear as background dancers.
Many others were quick to react to Kangana’s account suspension. Richa Chadha was one of the first one’s to react. Chadha did not take anyone’s name but after she posted a picture saying, “Be Yourself. Somewhere Else,” internet users were quick to connect the dots.
Swara Bhaskar also addressed the matter after a fashion house broke all ties with Ranaut on her extreme statements. “Pleasantly surprised to see this! Kudos to you @AnandBhushan & #RimzimDadu for calling out hate speech and incitement to genocide in a direct manner! Stand tall you guys,” she tweeted.
