Aamir Khan’s ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ Sparks Plagiarism Debate

The new film “Sitaare Zameen Par” of Aamir Khan has erupted into controversy, trending the calls for boycott across social media. These calls of boycotting went erupting down just after the trailer got launched on Tuesday, for the remaining moment when the people noted that with the Hollywood movie of 2023 “Champions,” the degree of similarity was very much too high.

The trailer, running three minutes, shows Aamir Khan as a disgraced basketball coach who, after having an altercation with the law, is now court-ordered to train a bunch of players spectrum. The setting has much resemblance to “Champions” itself, an adaptation from a Spanish original.

Aamir Khan Productions has marketed the film as “1 Tingu Basketball Coach, 10 Toofani SITAARE aur unki journey,” or “an emotional sports drama.” The female lead, Genelia Deshmukh, acts opposite Khan as his love interest, thereby adding romance into the movie.
