Singh lauded and welcomed the proposal by British Council for collaborating in the education sector, teaching science and mathematics in all the eight northeastern states. MoU will soon be signed with the North Eastern Council taking collaboration to a new high.

Mr. Singh said that under the leadership of Honorary Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the northeastern region of India has made remarkable progress in last six years overcoming various lapses of the past. This has instilled new confidence in the people. Furthermore, PM Modi’s change of policy from ‘Look East’ to ‘Act East’ has taken the cooperation at multinational level to new level.
