Arjun Rampal appears in front of NCB to justify allegation of drug consumption

Arjun Rampal: The Bollywood drug scandal is seeing a new angle with every new name that is appearing in the case and among the recent additions in this list is Arjun Rampal, a model and an Hindi movie actor. 

The actor presented himself in front of the Narcotics Control Bureau on Tuesday for the second time in a span of one month. He has been found to have some connections in the drug related case and the NCB is carrying out an investigation about the same. 

The drug nexus which gained a lot of attention after the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput a few months ago. The central organisation reportedly questioned the 48-year-old for close to six hours. 

The actor, who is famous for his performances in movies like Daddy, Om Shanti Om and Raajneeti, was earlier questioned on November 13 when the questioning went on for as long as seven hours. 

The same month, NCB also investigated all his activities and also searched all through his Mumbai residence and seized every electronic gadget that the actor owned. The team also prohibited some of the banned medicine under the guidelines of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Act. 

Even his partner, Gabriella Demtraides, was questioned for nearly two days in her connection with the drug nexus. Her brother, who is also a good friend of Rampal, was arrested in the matter after the police found him to be in touch with the drug supplier. 

The matters related to the usage and consumption of drugs in the Hindi film industry came into picture after the chats of the late MS Dhoni actor was found where the actor was found to be asking for drugs. The matter also involved his partner Rhea Charoborty, who was also put behind the bars for her connection in the matter. She was later released on bail in October after being in jail for nearly a month.
