Shabaash Mithu Trailer Out, Taapsee Pannu Roles As Mithali Raj
The trailer of ‘Shabhash Mithu’ has been released today. The film is based on Mithali Raj’s life, a great female Indian cricketer played for nearly two decades.
The film crew released this trailer on Monday morning. The 2.44 minute long trailer was shared by Mithali Raj, with fans on her social media accounts.
Produced by Viacom 18 Studios and directed by Shrijit Mukherjee, the film stars Tapsee Pannu as Mithali Raj.
The trailer begins with a dialogue in which Tapsi says,
“I have been dreaming since the eighties that it would be nice to have a team called Women in Blue, just like Men in Blue.”
In this film, Mithali is worried about becoming a cricketer from her childhood. The insults she faced while growing up as a cricketer, the ups and downs she saw in the game.
She showed her courage to bring recognition to Indian women’s cricket. The same thing becomes clear after watching the trailer.
Mithali shared the trailer with the fans with the caption-
“One game.. one country.. one ambition.. My dream! Thanks to this team. I am happy to share my story with you.”
Meanwhile, Tapsee’s performance as Mithali Raj was impressive. The gestures she made in some scenes were meant to make the audience emotional.
Mithali is happy to have more time for promotion. Retired from cricket so time as well. While filming and writing the script, Mithali was busy with the World Cup.
The film is produced under the banner of Viacom 18 Studios. The movie will be released on July 15.
