‘Trolls Are Just Chasing Likes’- Mouni Roy Responds to Botox
Actress Mouni Roy, who is currently promoting her upcoming horror film The Bhootnii, has hit back at trolls who have been making fun of her looks online. Some people on social media recently claimed she had “botox gone wrong” or accused her of getting too much plastic surgery.
In a recent interview actress Mouni spoke openly about how such comments have affected her. She said that at first, the hateful posts bothered her, and she would even block people. But now, she says she feels sorry for the trolls.
“These are people hiding behind screens,” she said. “They write all this nonsense just to get likes. Nobody can truly be happy doing that.”
She also shared how upsetting it is to see fake AI videos with her face edited onto other people’s bodies. “It’s disturbing and disgusting,” she said. “What do they even want to achieve with that?”
Mouni added that even though the online hate is loud, she chooses to focus on the love she receives from real fans. “Social media can be a nasty place,” she said, “but I can’t ignore the genuine support I get.”
In The Bhootnii, Mouni plays a ghost named Mohabbat. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Palak Tiwari, Sunny Singh, and Navneet Malik. It is directed by Sidhaant Sachdev and produced by Deepak Mukut and Sanjay Dutt.
