Microsoft & Invest India to collaborate for supporting tech startups in India
On Tuesday, Microsoft India announced its collaboration with Invest India, the Government of India’s national investment promotion and facilitation agency.
The collaboration is aimed to support tech startups in India. Under the collaboration, the Microsoft for Startups program will work closely with Accelerating Growth of New India’s Innovations (AGNIi Mission), a program of the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India and a Mission under the Prime Minister’s Science, Technology, and Innovation Advisory Council (PM-STIAC) that assembles India’s finest technologies with their potential adopters.
AGNIi Mission is executed by Invest India and supports startups to become ‘enterprise ready’. These startups range from varied sectors like agriculture, defense/security, IT/ITeS, e-mobility, waste management, and financial services. So far Microsoft has boarded 11 startups for the program.
