India Follow Suit To Air Bubble System For Air Travel
The travel arrangement has become easier between India and France, US and the others. The air bubble system which had been initiated by the UK is now being utilized by India too. India is now going to initiate their travel arrangements with UK, UAE, France, US and Germany.
Through this arrangement, said Indian civil aviation minister Hardeep Singh Puri that, “Under this arrangement, airlines from concerned countries will be able to operate flights from and to India, along with Indian carriers.”
This is being used as an ‘interim measure’ until pre-Covid-19 levels of travel can be restored. The flights operated on these travel corridors “will carry as many people as possible but under defined conditions”, adds the aviation minister, “because many countries are still imposing entry restrictions”.
Puri has also communicated that the first flights to operate under the arrangement will be United Airlines services linking Delhi with Newark and San Francisco between 17 and 31 July. Puri has also communicated via a video call that under the arrangements with France, Air France will operate 28 flights from Paris to Bangalore, Delhi and Mumbai between 18 July and 1 August. Air bubbles are the new method of traveling that is being opted by countries worldwide. United Kingdom has been the first one to initiate this mode of travel that will ensure social distancing protocols and save travelers from a mandatory 14 day quarantine period.
