IIT Madras Hosts National Student Wellness Workshop in Collaboration With Education Ministry

The Indian Institute of Technology Madras has made a huge move in enhancing the mental wellbeing of its students by conducting a national level workshop on student wellbeing over a period of two days in partnership with the Ministry of Education.
Under the title of “Celebrating Minds: From Academic Excellence to Sustainable Wellness,” the workshop witnessed the attendance of over 200 people comprising faculty members, counsellors, and other support staff working for the welfare of the students in higher educational institutions of South India.

IIT Madras Achieves Another Milestone

IIT Madras has become the first CFTI in India to be certified for ISO 45001:2018 for its Wellness Centre, highlighting its dedication towards occupational health and safety.
This has been done by IIT Madras in order to develop systems related to wellness that go beyond academics.
