Bulli Bai app
On the ‘Bulli Bai’ app, Muslim women were posted and ‘auctioned’ without their consent. Many Muslim women were listed for “auction” on the ‘Bulli Bai’ app. The matter came to light on January 1 when many Muslim women found themselves on ‘auction’ on the app. The photographs were sourced without their permission. The student used their social media handle to share derogatory content from the Bulli Bai app. The boy was traced through the IP address of the Twitter accounts that were used to upload the pictures.

As per the report by NDTV, police said that the app had no connection to Sikhs. However, the accused allegedly made it look as if it was linked to Khalistani groups. According to The Indian Express, doctored photos of at least 100 Muslim women, along with bad remarks and comments, were posted online. A journalist first reported the issue. Based on the complaint of a journalist, the Delhi Police also registered an FIR in the matter. The app is seen to be a clone of ‘Sulli Deals’ that triggered a similar row last year.
