Top BTS Achievements During Military Service
BTS is one of the world’s most famous K-pop bands, proving the military service would not reduce their creative skills and popularity among fans all around the globe. After recent releases of the most important members in June 2025, the band is in a better position than ever regarding their much-anticipated reunion and a new era in their unprecedented career.
Jin’s Military Service Achievements
Kim Seokjin was released from the military on June 12, 2024, making him the first person to come back to civilian life. His achievements after being out of the military have set new horizons for what can be accomplished after compulsory service.
Jin’s Key Military Service Achievements:
- Served as assistant drill instructor, 5th Infantry Division
- Has published two solo albums: Happy, Echo
- Released fan meeting series and cleared out in a few minutes of announcement
- Runseokjin_ep.tour starting in June of 2025 was announced as the first solo tour globally.
- Became the first member of BTS to gain his own show as an independent tour performer
- Abided by a regular contact with fans by appearing in variety shows
J-Hope’s Military Service Period
Jung Hoseok was released on October 17, 2024, and on the same day entered an ambitious creative stage that demonstrated his new artistic spirit.
J-Hope’s Military Service Achievements:
- Acted as assistant drill instructor in the 36th division Infantry
- He released an album during the service age, called Hope On The Street Vol. 1
- Worked along with some international artists, among them J. Cole
- They started the world tour Hope on the Stage in Asia and North America
- Published singles after discharge of “Straight Dreams”, “Mona Lisa” and “Killin It Girl”
- Had netted millions of streams in solo works and still retained group identity
RM’s Military Service Journey
On June 10 2025, Kim Namjoon finished his military service as a soldier serving his military duty in which he simultaneously advanced his artistic growth.
RM’s Military Service Achievements:
- Served in military band, 15th Infantry Division
- Practised playing saxophone during the service period
- Critically acclaimed album was released: the Right Place, Wrong Person
- After discharge made global ambassador of Samsung Art TV
- Received several musical awards in performing on solo performances
- Proven ability to lead as well in military as in artistic scenes
V’s Military Service Excellence
Kim Taehyung entered the Special Duty Team, which was the elite group, in February 2024 and demonstrated great discipline and commitment in his service.
V’s Military Service Achievements:
- Sent to that high elitist Special Duty Team of ROKA military police
- As a result of good performance, he has been promoted to the rank of sergeant.
- Delivered their joint releases in the form of the song “Friends, Wherever U R” with UMI
- Recorded the song, “Winter Ahead, White Christmas,” with Bing Crosby
- Printed exclusive photobooks to the fans during service
- Made dance videos which went viral right after release
Jimin’s Military Service Impact
During his military service, Park Jimin worked in Artillery FDC, yet he continued to engage in musical activity and had incredible commercial success.
Jimin’s Military Service Achievements:
- Was an officer in Artillery Fire Direction Centre
- Dropped second solo album called Muse, which has seven tunes
- The title song Who occupied world charts and became a history maker
- Kept in close touch with fans by way of strategic releases
- Proven adaptability in the role of the military yet maintains an artistic identity
Jungkook’s Military Service Journey
During his service, Jeon Jungkook worked as a military cook, but he was creative in ensuring that he did not disconnect with the fans during this phase.
Jungkook’s Military Service Achievements:
- Military cook in 5th Infantry Division
- Debuted “Never Let Go” to celebrate BTS FESTA as part of the soldiers in service
- Had live streaming sessions with the fans during service time
- Covered some of the most famous tunes such as APT and Die with a Smile
- Entered with the greatest fan participation during service tenure
Suga’s Upcoming Military Service Completion
The last member on the path to the full reunion of BTS is the finalization of public service work by Min Yoongi, which should be done by June 21, 2025.
