Former CM Mulayam Singh Yadav’s daughter-in-law Aparna Yadav has joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), much to the discomfort of Akhilesh Yadav from the Samajwadi Party (SP). Rumors goes that a few others from the Yadav family will be seen moving their chairs into the saffron side. Political analysts say this is a ‘payback’ tactic been taken on by BJP after SP poached some of the saffron sides.
This includes three Yogi ministers – Swami Prasad Maurya, Dara Singh Chauhan, and Dharam Singh –along with a dozen sitting BJP MLAs that switched sides to the SP.
Now, lady movement comes days after BJP seemed to be furious over back-to-back exits of these ministers and party MLAs.
The founder led Mulayam Singh Yadav’s party has seen quite a stir in the last few months. This is a big blow ahead of the upcoming Uttar Pradesh 2022 elections. Strangely, BJP has already lost a lot of members. Ironically, Samajwadi Party had already lost a couple of its own people. Strangely, the news has been doing rounds that SP actually forced Yadav to enter the poll fray, according to BJP Minister Mohsin Raza. Further, the former Chief Minister is apparently unwilling to fight the elections but was forced by the party due to ‘fewer prospects of winning’.
He will be contesting elections from the Azamgarh Gopalpur constituency. His strongest contender is CM Yogi Adityanath who will contest polls from his home constituency, Gorakhpur. Aparna has already made an impression with the party, when she thanks Narendra Modi profusely stating the PM’s ideologies and the working style of CM Yogi Aditynath had always inspired and moved her as she also believed in the ‘Nation first’ idea.
