On Saturday, The Mumbai Police filed 17 FIRs against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers and leaders for violating the state’s Coronavirus protocols. Currently, the total FIRs against the BJP’s Jan Ashirwad Yatra have reached 36.
The Yatra is organized across 22 states, and the purpose of this rally is that the citizen should feel the minister is one of their personal and their aim is to serve.
For the Modi government, Jan (people) are the government; we are responsible for their development, therefore, seek their blessings and positive energy in nation-making.
On Monday, nearly a dozen central ministers joined in the Yatras organized to present the newly appointed ministers to the people and explain the party’s version of the disappointment of the Parliament’s monsoon session.
Despite the coronavirus restrictions placed by the Mumbai Police, Union minister Rane began the Jan Ashirwad Yatra with his three colleagues in the Center. Few senior BJP leaders, former Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis and Pravin Darekar were also part of the Yarta.
Several opposition leaders and members in the state sharply criticized BJP’s decision to hold a Yatra when Maharashtra is still fighting the Covid-19 pandemic and has recorded most cases in the nation.
On Friday, Congress leader Ashok Chavan and Bhai Jagtap lashed out at the BJP to disregard the Coronavirus situation in Mumbai and hold the rally.
