Yogi Govt. Launches ‘Sparrow Portal’ To Track Officers’ Assets
The Yogi govt. has launched a ‘Sparrow Portal’. Now onwards, the govt. will take account of bungalows, cars, jewelry and bank balance every year from officers.
The Uttar Pradesh government is now fully seen in action. In fact, the Yogi government has fully geared up to curb corruption.

In this sequence, now PCS officers will have to give online details of their movable and immovable assets every year.
For this the ‘Sparrow-UP’ portal has been prepared. Login and password have also been given to all the officers. The Annual Confidential Entry (NCR) of these officers will also be given online now.

Earlier, the government had instructed ministers and IAS officers to give details of their assets.
Explain that it is already mandatory for IAS officers to give details of their assets . This system is already in force under the Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India.
Officers have to give their property details online with Sparrow software. On the lines of the system applicable for IAS officers, the UP government has also implemented this system for PCS officers.
Actually, every PCS officer in UP will have to give an account of his assets between January 1 and 21 every year.
Failure to do so will result in departmental action. Every officer will also have to give his self appraisal for the previous financial year online in April every year.
Officials who do not give details may have to bear the brunt of this. Annual entry of such people can be stopped. Increment and promotion can also be affected by this.
