Virat Kohli’s Bumping Moment with Sam Konstas becomes the Highlight of Day 1 of fourth Test

The test match which falls on the next day of the Christmas is named “Boxing Day Test” and it is a public holiday for countries like Australia, New Zealand, England and South Africa. The first day of the third test began with the commemoration of former legendary Australian player Shane Warne at 3.50 pm Australian local time at the world famous Melbourne Stadium. Warne’s test cap with number 350 has been led by Warne’s children Brooke and Jackson for which the whole crowd doffed their hats as a symbol of respect.

Australia’s debut batter Sam Kontas, the 19 year old smashed the most intimidating bowling of India’s pacer Jaspirit Bumrah into sixers and boundaries. A viral stat has been circulated around the internet that the fearless Debutant Sam hit the ball bowled by Bumrah to sixer after 1,445 days of his test cricket. He became the first batter to send off the ball out of the field after 4,483 deliveries of Bumrah in test cricket.

During the 48th over, Virat Kohli bumped the debutant Sam while he was running between the wickets. Though it looked accidental after a few minutes both the players shared heated words which sparked a controversy around it. After the end of the match, Virat Kohli has been fined 20% of his match salary for breaching the ICC code of conduct.
