Unmarried Couples No Longer Allowed to Book OYO Rooms
This year, OYO implemented a new check-in procedure for its partner hotels. Unmarried couples are not allowed to check into OYO hotel rooms under the new rules. Beginning in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, the firm has been implementing this adjustment.
Couples who want to reserve a room at an OYO hotel are now required to present documentation of their marriage or relationship under the new regulations. This year, OYO will start to prevent unmarried couples from checking in in Meerut. Hotels in Meerut that are linked with OYO have been directed to enforce this regulation right now.
This initiative by OYO intends to change its antiquated perceptions and project itself as a brand capable of providing a safe experience for families, students, business, religious and lone travelers, according to Pawas Sharma, Region Head of OYO North India.
Modifications to OYO Check-in Guidelines:
According to OYO’s policies, couples including those making reservations online must now present legitimate documentation of their relationship when they check in. According to sources, this regulation may be adopted in other cities depending on the response and efficacy of Meerut.
OYO has implemented a number of national programs including holding joint seminars on safe hospitality practices with law enforcement and hotel partners, blacklisting establishments that support unethical behavior and taking action against unapproved hotels that use OYO branding.
