Ukraine– On Sunday, India has asked the families of diplomats in embassy in Kyiv, students, and other citizens whose stay in Ukraine is not vital, to leave the country as concerns escalate over rising tensions with Russia and possible invasion by Moscow on Kyiv.
“In view of the continued high levels of tensions and uncertainties with respect to the situation in Ukraine, all Indian nationals whose stay is not deemed essential and all Indian students, are advised to leave Ukraine temporarily,” the Embassy said. The directions to Indian nationals came on Sunday from the Indian Embassy in Kyiv. It is to be noted that this is the second advisory from India in a week amid higher levels of uncertainty and tensions.
The previous advisory was issued by the Indian embassy on February 15 that had asked Indian citizens, especially students, to leave the country temporarily amid rising uncertainties and also to avoid travel to as well as within Ukraine.
