This International Peace Day 2022, End Racism, Build Peace: UN
The International Peace Day 2022 is observed globally on 21st September. The UN aims to make a society where everyone feels safe & every race can flourish.
On September 21, people all over the world mark the International Day of Peace. By commemorating a 24-hour period of nonviolence and a ceasefire, the United States General Assembly commemorates the day by advancing the principles of peace among people and countries.
The UN has decided to set the theme against racism for this year. This day has been designated by the UN General Assembly as a time to enhance the values of peace by engaging in a 24-hour period of nonviolence and a cease-fire.

Symbol Of International Peace Day 2022
The United Nations Association of Japan gave the Peace Bell in 1954. Two times a year, on the vernal equinox and the first day of spring, as well as on September 21 to mark International Day of Peace, the bell is rung.
History of International Peace Day 2022
The United Nations General Assembly proclaimed the International Day of Peace in 1981.
The General Assembly overwhelmingly decided to designate the Day as a time of nonviolence and a cease-fire in 2001, 20 years after the original resolution was passed.
The ace-based racism at borders is highlighted on this year’s UN page for International Day of Peace.
Theme of International Peace Day 2022
This year, the United Nations (UN) has designated the day with the theme – “End Racism. Build Peace”. The UN wants to create a society where everyone, regardless of race, feels safe and can prosper.
Fighting racism is the priority in order to preserve world peace, particularly at this time when the pandemic and indeed the wars in several countries that have forced people to leave their homes have caused the globe so much suffering.
