The Great Khali Joins BJP
The former wrestling superstar ‘The Great Khali’ has now joined the BJP. Speaking to the media, he said that he was strongly influenced by the party’s national policy and felt compelled to join it, therefore.
Also known as Dalip Singh Rana, he was known as the eighth tallest person in 2014 and went on to make headlines in the entertaining version of freestyle wrestling. Khali’s inclusion into the party comes days ahead of the Punjab Assembly polls. It is worth noting that Punjab will go to the polls on February 20.
Khali has been much in the limelight as the 49-year-old sportsman was seen lending support to the farmers protesting in Delhi borders in 2020, against the Centre’s farm laws. The wrestler had appealed to people of India to support the agitating farmers.

The shifting between parties has been quite swift in the last few months, with many shifting loyalties after feeling let down by one or the other.
