Punjab Polls 2022: Congress Upgrades Strategy; Top Leaders To Take Part In Campaigns Ahead Of The Polls
Punjab – Ahead of the Punjab polls on 20 February, Congress has upgraded its strategy in Punjab to win the election. Top leaders of the Congress will campaign for the party for the next three days in the state.
Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will be attending Sant Ravidas Jayanti at Seer Goverdhanpur in Varanasi on 17 February. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Bahgel will make their “debut” in the party’s campaign in Punjab over the next three days.
Ashok Gehlot will address a press conference in Chandigarh. He will also hold a public meeting in Ludhiana. Bhupesh Bahgel will address a press conference in Jalandhar. He will also visit Ravidas Dham in Jalandhar.
According to India Today, a Punjab Congress leader said that Congress’ strategy is simple. Reportedly, Rahul Gandhi will visit one district of Punjab and address a public rally. Subsequently, top leaders will do door-to-door campaigns, roadshows, address public meetings and press conferences in that district of Punjab.
Congress has also asked all its top leaders, including CMs, MPs from North India, to head to Punjab ahead of the election. MLAs and a few MPs have already been given responsibility for Punjab polls by senior leaders.
Deepender Hooda, Bhupinder Hooda, Kumari Selja, Harish Rawat, Rajiv Shukla, Ajay Maken, Sachin Pilot, Randeep Surjewala, and other Congress senior leaders will be campaigning in every district of Punjab.
Reportedly, a senior Punjab Congress leader said that Congress has adopted an aggressive carpet-bombing campaign. Congress has also upgraded its social media strategy. The party is not only focusing on physical campaigning but also on virtual campaigning.
All activities of Congress senior leaders are being updated in real-time on social media platforms. According to India Today, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will again be campaigning in Punjab tomorrow.
