Tata Motors Expands EV Lineup, Introducing ‘Re.Wi.Re’ Facility
Tata Motors, a household name and one of the largest car manufacturers in the country is making several models in the EV market. Currently, Tata Motors offers several electric car models in India.
These include the Tata Nexon.ev, Tata Tigor.ev, and Tata Tiago.ev. These vehicles have garnered attention and appreciation for their performance, efficiency, and contribution to a greener environment.
Tata Motors has announced plans to expand its electric vehicle lineup by introducing five new EV models. This decision aligns with the growing demand for environmentally friendly transportation options and marks a significant step towards sustainable mobility in India.
The Tata Punch EV, a compact and versatile SUV, is expected to offer a driving range of over 300 kilometers on a single charge. This feature positions it as an ideal choice for both city commuting and longer drives.
The Tata Curvv EV, initially introduced as an electric concept, is expected to offer a substantial range of more than 400 to 500 kilometers on a single charge.
Looking ahead, the Tata Sierra EV, an eagerly anticipated model, is expected to hit the Indian market by 2025. While details about this model are still under wraps, the anticipation is high, considering Sierra’s iconic status in Tata Motors’ vehicle lineup.
Now, let’s shift our focus to another significant initiative by Tata Motors. The company has launched a registered vehicle scrapping facility in Punjab, named ‘Re.Wi.Re – Recycle with Respect.’
This facility aligns with Tata’s vision of promoting eco-friendly initiatives and has the capacity to disassemble 12,000 end-of-life vehicles each year. This facility uses environmentally friendly processes, ensuring the safe and sustainable disposal of vehicles.

Operated by Tata Motors’ partner, Dada Trading Company, the facility can scrap both passenger and commercial vehicles of any brand.
