Tata Motors Earns 5-Star Safety Rating From Bharat-NCAP
Tata Motors is a name we’re all familiar with and proud of in India. They have achieved something remarkable regarding vehicle safety, a concern that’s crucial for all of us. Tata Motors has become the first Indian automaker to earn a 5-star safety rating from Bharat-NCAP.
This is a big deal because Bharat-NCAP is the authority that tests how safe cars are, and getting a top score from them means Tata cars are really good at protecting the people inside during accidents.
This time, it’s their two SUVs, the new Safari and the Harrier, that have impressed everyone with their safety features.
This achievement was announced by our Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari. He took to social media to praise Tata Motors for their commitment to making cars that are not just great to drive but also safe for Indian families.
He also mentioned that Bharat-NCAP sets high standards for car safety in our country, aiming to make our roads safer.
Adding to this, Shailesh Chandra, who leads Tata Motors’ passenger vehicle segment, expressed his thanks and emphasized how important Bharat-NCAP’s role is in helping customers understand how safe different cars are.
Now, let’s talk about these cars a bit. Both the Harrier and Safari are not just safe; they’re packed with modern features like big touchscreens, fancy sound systems, and even advanced driving aids that help prevent accidents.
Strong diesel engines power these vehicles and have new steering systems compared to older models. These SUVs are competing with some popular cars in the market, like the MG Hector and Mahindra XUV700.
After this safety rating by Bharat-NCP, Tata Motors’ stock prices have seen a positive increase today. Today, their stock price increased by 2.23%, closing at ₹708.75 per share. It’s now trading even higher at ₹724.55 per share.

Next year, Tata Motors plans to launch three new SUVs, including electric versions of the Harrier and the Punch, and a stylish new SUV-coupe named Curvv. They’re also updating the Altroz, their premium hatchback.
All this shows that Tata Motors is not just focusing on making their cars safer but also more modern and environmentally friendly. It’s great to see an Indian company leading the way in these important areas.
