Assistant Director’s Dark Plot: Father-In-Law Killed Over ₹300 Crore Property
Shocking news of the ‘supari killing’ is coming from Nagpur, an assistant director in the town planning department Archana Manish Puttewar was arrested last week for allegedly orchestrating the murder of her 82-year-old father-in-law, Purushottam Puttewar, in a bid to gain control of his property worth ₹300 crore.
Initially, it was believed it was a hit-and-run accident, but it has now been turned into a murder plot. According to police sources, Archana hired individuals for the task and spent about ₹1 crore as ‘supari’ to kill her father-in-law. She provided funds to purchase a used car to make the murder look like an accident.
The 53-year-old woman allegedly conspired with her husband’s driver, Bagde, and two others, Neeraj Nimje and Sachin Dharmik. Police have charged all of them with murder and other offenses under the IPC and Motor Vehicles Act. Two cars, gold jewelry and mobile phones have been seized as part of the investigation.
Purushottam Puttewar had gone to the hospital to see his wife Shakuntala who was recovering from surgery on the day of the incident. During the time of returning, he was crushed by a rented car. Their son, Manish, who is Archana’s husband, is a doctor.

The investigation has also revealed serious irregularities in the professional conduct of Archana Puttewar. There were several complaints about his work in the town planning department, especially clearing illegal layouts, but no action was taken due to his political connections. His arrest on these serious charges could lead to a deeper investigation into his alleged professional misconduct.
Although this is not a very surprising case, but many such cases have come to the notice of the police, where the family itself becomes the enemy of the breath for the sake of money. Investigation is going on, the culprit will be punished.
