Salman Khan Files Defamation Suit Against His Panvel Farmhouse Neighbour
Bollywood actor and superstar Salman Khan filed a defamation lawsuit before the Mumbai City Civil Court against his Panvel Farmhouse neighbour. He sought an interim restraining order from the court. However, the court declined to issue a temporary restraining order in favour of Salman Khan in the defamation lawsuit.
The Bollywood superstar filed a lawsuit against Ketan Kakkad, a Non-Resident Indian (NRI). Salman Khan alleged that his neighbour made derogatory remarks against him and his family over a land sale transaction.
Ketan Kakkad
Reportedly, Kakkar is a resident of Malad, Mumbai. The neighbour owns a plot of land near Salman Khan’s farmhouse in Panvel, Mumbai. Reportedly, Kakkad used derogatory words against Khan and his family during an interview with a YouTube channel. According to media reports, Salman Khan filed an application seeking to block the social media accounts of Kakkad where he posted derogatory content against the superstar.

Judge Anil H Laddhad directed Kakkad to file his reply for the next hearing on January 21. Kakkad’s advocates Abha Singh and Aditya Pratap have been given time to file a reply on behalf of Kakkad till the next hearing. The advocates said that they received the papers last evening and were unable to go through the entire lawsuit. Lawyer Abha Singh also said that if Khan can wait a month to file the lawsuit, then Ketan Kakkar should be given some time to give his reply on this matter. Thus, the court has given them time to file a reply till January 21.
