Rozgar Mela: PM Narendra Modi distributes 51,000 appointment letters on Dhanteras 2024
On the auspicious occasion of Dhanteras 2024 on October 29, Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed more than 51,000 appointment letters among the youth in different departments and organisations, as part of the Rozgar Mela.
He highlighted that the central government has been continuously providing permanent government jobs to scores of youngsters across the country. In Haryana, for example, the government has provided employment to 26,000 people.
The Rozgar Mela is part of Modi’s commitment to improving employment generation. It happened at 40 locations this time, recruiting people for roles in different ministries and departments of the government, as per the official statement.

India making progress in modern technology
Narendra Modi addresses the event virtually. “Modern technology cannot be developed in our country,” he highlighted the mindset created earlier, emphasising that India not only lagged in modern development, but the important sources of employment also left.
The Prime Minister noted that today’s India has started to put in substantial efforts into freeing the country from the old thinking of the previous governments. India is making progress in almost every technological field, starting from semiconductors to electronics.
He also extended his heartfelt greetings to all the citizens of Dhanteras or Dhantrayodashi. He said that Deepavali this year is special as Lord Ram has been seated in the magnificent temple in Ayodhya after 500 years.
