Royal Challengers Bengaluru ropes in Romario Shepherd – Known his IPL Salary and Records

Royal Challengers Bengaluru reintroduced West Indian All Rounder Romario Shepherd in the IPL after his stint from 2022 in SRH, LSG and MI. To replace the out of form of the English player Liam Livingston, RCB captain Rajat Patidar has roped in Romario Shepherd for the game against Punjab.
Romario Shepherd IPL Salary:
A redemption for the All Rounder who pulled a huge contract with Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2022, bagging 7.75 Crores. Despite a few of his outshining moments, SRH dropped Shepherd. The Following year, Shepherd was signed by Lucknow SuperGiants for a meager 50 Lakhs in 2023 with a mini action trade from LSG to MI in 2024 for the same pay.
Now Romario Shepherd has been booked by RCB for his base price of 1.5 Crore in the IPL Mega Auction 2025. RCB is also booking for a comeback after their recent loss and by roping in Shepherd for a better price than last year would certainly boost the player’s confidence.
The lack of lower batting order in the RCB squad has been an active issue for a while and inducting Shepherd as a reliable batsman can be useful. Shepherd has played in 10 games so far in IPL, he has maintained a good strike rate of 182.54 and has scored 115 runs, averaging at 23 runs.
This major revamp in the Bengaluru squad comes at a crucial time as the fierce team has lost the last game, making it their 3rd loss in 5 games and a serious shift towards lengthening their batting lineup. While Shepherd is still a crucial part in his National team and as the champion in the Caribbean Premier League as a part of Guyana Amazon Warriors.
