Rahul Gandhi Hits Back At PM Modi, Says Criticise Congress And Nehru But Do Your Job
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his recent comment on Jawaharlal Nehru in the parliament. Gandhi said he doesn’t need a certificate from anyone for his great grandfather.
Gandhi said that PM Modi can “abuse” Congress and Nehru but he should also “do his job”. He also added that Modi’s attack on the Congress in his speeches in Parliament showed that he is “scared” of the Congress.
Gandhi alleged that Modi attacked the Congress and the Nehru-Gandhi family during his speech in the Rajya Sabha. He further added that the PM’s attack on Congress and Nehru does not bother him.
Gandhi pointed out that Modi didn’t address the three key issues raised by him in the Lok Sabha last week. Earlier, Gandhi raised three issues; the growing economic divide in India, the creation of two Indias, regular attacks on independent institutions, and a foreign policy, which has brought Pakistan and China together. He added, “The country is being weakened. The prime minister said nothing on these things.”
Gandhi also said that the USD 90 billion Belt and Road initiative and Chinese troops in PoK (Pakistan Occupied Kashmir) can also be dangerous for the country. Subsequently, he said that the Chinese have entered Ladakh, which is dangerous for the country.
Gandhi also targeted External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar for his work. Gandhi said that he doesn’t know his job and India has been put at risk by a “bankrupt” foreign policy.
Earlier, Congress also accused Modi of using Parliament as a platform to make an election speech. He also said that he had earlier warned that Covid-19 was a danger “but the prime minister did not agree” at that time to Gandhi. He said that it is important for the people of India to see what the prime minister is doing for the country.
