Modi Attends 16th BRICS Summit in Russia, Welcomed with Krishna Bhajans
Indian PM Modi arrived in Kazan to attend the 16th BRICS summit. He held a bilateral meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. He will participate in discussion for Wednesday.

According to the Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, BRICS is important to promote the global multipolarity. It is important to address global challenges. In the agenda, there are topics like strengthening the cultural ties, like Indian cinema, studies, etc.
It is also expected that PM Modi will engage with various world leaders, including including China’s Xi Jinping, Turkey’s Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Iran’s Masoud Pezeshkian.
Russian Krishna devotees welcome PM with bhajan in Kazan
When PM Modi landed in Russia a welcome song played in Sanskrit, Russian dance and Krishna Bhajan by devotees of ISKON were played. Modi stayed in Hotel Korston, where he was greeted by the Indian diaspora holding the Indian tricolor and chanting slogans.

Indian PM said via an X post, “Had a wonderful meeting with President Putin. India-Russia relations are deeply rooted. The talks focused on further strengthening bilateral partnerships in various sectors.”
According to a Russian news source Sputnik , PM Modi said, “The conflict between Russia and Ukraine must be resolved peacefully, and India is ready to provide all the possible assistance to this, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Tuesday.”
