Mixed Reactions Among Wayanad Voters After Rahul Gandhi’s Raebareli Nomination
Yesterday, Rahul Gandhi filed his nomination form from RaeBareli’s seat in Uttar Pradesh for the upcoming third phase of Lok Sabha elections, after which many mixed reactions started coming from different parts of the country.
Rahul Gandhi was elected as a Lok Sabha member from Wayanad, Karnataka in the 2019 Lok Sabha election. Election voting took place on 26 April this year. Many mixed reactions are coming from this seat.
Some people are saying that there is nothing wrong in contesting elections from Rae Bareli, but some people are saying that contesting elections from another seat is wrong. PK Kunhalikutty the leader of the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) said that there was nothing wrong with contesting from Raebareli too.
NDTV reported that in his statement Mr Kunhalikutty said, “The fact of the matter is we (IUML) requested the Congress party’s national leadership that Rahul should contest from one more seat other than Wayanad. Did not PM Modi contest from two seats in the past? We feel that this decision will be a boost for the INDIA bloc.”
CPI leader Annie Raja also reacted to Rahul Gandi’s nomination from Raebareli of U.P. She said this is injustice for voters.

Raja further said that filing forms from two constituencies without informing the voters of Wayanad shows a lack of ethics. This is an injustice to the voters. It is important to speak the truth and present clear pictures to the voters before they vote for you.
Constituency from Amethi to Rae Bareli is not a political issue as it will not have any impact on democracy as any constitutionality is not the permanent establishment of a political candidate. You can contest elections from anywhere in India. But this is an injustice to the voters of Wayanad who actually voted for Congress and Rahul Gandhi.
Let us tell you congress announced this nomination on 3rd May.
