No matter how prepared you are, mistakes are inevitable. The Tokyo Olympics 2020 organizers showed that no amount of preparedness can avoid mistakes after they played Blackpink’s ‘Boombayah’ instead of BTS’s ‘Dynamite’ on request of the South Korean Women’s Archery.
Things are quickly changing in the Olympics sphere and when it came to the Archery event, in no surprise value Women’s Archery Team of Korea swept away the competition. However, when the award ceremony was being held, the logistical crew seemed to have confused the instruction leading them to make a minor glitch.
On winning the competition, the Korean team had requested for Billboard-topping BTS song ‘Dynamite’ to be played but as per reports, the committee mistakenly played another Korean band BlackPink’s song ‘Boombayah’.
The spokesperson of arguably one of the most talented Archery teams in the world, Kang Chae Young, said that on winning, the team requested for a BTS song to be played.
