Major shuffle expected in UP Cabinet structure
A Cabinet reshuffle of Uttar Pradesh has been talked about for some months now but is likely to take a serious structure now. Especially after the handling of the pandemic in UP, which was a handful of the task to maintain huge populations and creating awareness for the vaccines.
This announcement comes into the limelight after Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met Governor Anandiben Patel at Raj Bhavan in Lucknow last week. During the meeting, BJP’s state co-in-charge Sanjeev Chaurasia and state organization general secretary Sunil Bansal were also present in the meeting. The speculations are much talked about in the cabinet Yogi Adityanath cabinet ahead of the 2022 state assembly polls.
Though no decision has been made yet, officials confirmed that the final answer will come after feedback from MLAs is shared and discussed. The two leaders will formulate an effective strategy for the election to the post of District Panchayat President and on how to integrate independent MLAs with the BJP. Since assembly elections in UP are due for next year, this reshuffle is likely to secure victory in 2022.
Another meeting was held at Adityanath’s residence and in the meeting, both the deputy CMs of the state and senior party leaders were present. On the other hand, BJP sources are claiming that senior leaders are coming from Delhi to prepare a roadmap towards the better working of the MLAs for the public, also a helpdesk has been prepared in advance by the party.
Though through unverified sources, it is heard that UP Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya could be given the chairmanship of the party in the state and he will begin tours in July along with JD Nadda, who is the President of BJP.
