Is Tejashwi Prasad Yadav all set to take center stage in Bihar politics?
Coming from such a strong political lineage, a lot is expected out of Tejashwi Yadav especially by his fellow political leaders.
They have been expecting the 32-year-old leader to come out strongly, on front foot, to establish the party as one of the strongest opposition parties. His presence may not be as strong as it should be on a national level, but in Bihar, his attempts to blow the cover of ‘good governance’ of Nitish Kumar surely worked.
Surely, the efforts did not translate to results as Kumar still holds power with his JD(U)-BJP coalition but RJD is definitely trying to give it a run for its money in the coming days. But many believe that the young leader is actually gaining the confidence of people outside Bihar as well.

The Chief of the Opposition is a title that he donned in 2017 after RJD-JD(U)’s “grand alliance” broke up. It was assumed that in lack of a proper leadership, the party would collapse but during the elections of 2020, it emerged as a very strong party at least as campaigning is considered.
RJS rose to the occasion as it was determined to take advantage in the state where neither Congress nor the Bharatiya Janata Party held power. It came out as the only largest occasion with 75 seats and the alliance it formed bagged 110 seats.
Not only does he come out as a crowd puller but also is known for his strong opinions. He strongly pulls out the party in charge in the state, in this case Nitish Kumar, and targets the minus points of them to prove his upperhand. He may slowly win over the people in Bihar. At national level too, if he chooses his leaders wisely, it might be possible that RJD comes as a strong opposition and even moreso, replaces the Indian National Congress at the center.
