India Vs West Indies 2nd ODI: India Beat West Indies By 44 Runs To Win Series; Twitter Reacts
India beat West Indies in the second ODI (One Day International) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Wednesday.
Prasidh Krishna was the star performer of the match. Krishna took 4 wickets for 12 runs in 9 overs. He bowled two maiden overs during the match.
Krishna’s performance helped India’s game as the match never went out of their reach because of wickets at regular intervals. Shardul Thakur also took 2 wickets in his spell for 41 runs. Yuzvendra Chahal took 1 wicket. Mohammed Siraj, Deepak Hooda, and Washington Sundar also took 1 wicket each.
India rode a dominant bowling performance to bowl out West Indies for 193. India set West Indies a target of 237 in 50 overs. The first innings began with Rishabh Pant and Rohit Sharma. They were the opening batsmen of the match. This was Rishabh Pant’s first game as an opening batsman in ODI cricket for India. However, Rohit Sharma was dismissed for 5 and Rishabh Pant was dismissed for 18. They did not play well during the match. Virat Kohli also scored 18 runs.
