The largest IKEA shop in India will open its doors in Bengaluru’s Nagasandra region today (22nd June). IKEA is a well-known Swedish supplier of home goods.
The fourth IKEA location in India is the Nagasandra Store in Bengaluru. The three more IKEA locations are situated in Worli City Store, Navi Mumbai, and Hyderabad, respectively.
IKEA expects to draw up to 50 lakh tourists to Bengaluru this year thanks to a projected investment of 3,000 crore in Karnataka, the corporation said.

The new store, which will offer home furnishing solutions to meet the varied demands of the family, will, according to the firm, become a famous landmark in the city.

The Nagasandra IKEA store is located on 12.2 acres, and it has a total floor space of 4,60,000 square feet.

According to the business company, the IKEA Nagasandra shop will provide more than 7,000 home furnishings items as well as 65 room sets providing concepts and ideas to live a better life at home.

With 5 suppliers in Karnataka, IKEA sources roughly 25–27% of its items locally. In the long run, the company wants to source at least 50% of its products locally.

IKEA now employs 1,000 people, 72% of whom are from the neighborhood, and wants to increase this number.
The business would directly employ 800–1000 people and indirectly support 1,500 more.
