Google Meet To Add Shared YouTube Watching & Spotify Listening
After the announcement of Google Meet & Duo merger, Google Meet is going to introduce a new feature which will let you host group Spotify & YouTube sessions.
The tech giant Google announced that by combining Duo and Meet into one platform, everyone now has access to additional features including meeting scheduling and joining, virtual backdrops, in-meeting chat, and more, including your current video calling options.
Additional meeting capabilities, according to the business, enable users to start an immediate video conversation with their complete study group or to connect with coworkers at a set time each week.

Dave Citron is the Director of Product Management of Google Duo and Google Meet. He wrote in a blog post,
“We are also launching live sharing for Google Meet. Live sharing allows all meeting participants to interact with the content that is being shared.”
Further he added,
“So whether you are co-watching videos on YouTube, curating a playlist on Spotify, taking turns while playing games like Heads Up!, UNO! Mobile or Kahoot! During an ice breaker, everyone will be able to join in on the action.”

The business claimed to have begun introducing these new functions to the Duo app over the past few weeks, and users are now starting to notice that Google Meet has replaced the app’s previous name and icon.
Smartphones and tablet devices will get this upgrade throughout the month, and other devices will get it later. Maintain the most recent version of your app to ensure a smooth transition.
